Being a 'Kentish Maid' and my Mum a 'Maid of Kent', I can remember Mum making this when I was little, only a couple of years ago of course!!! Absolutely delicious. too delicious to only be eaten at Lent. I can sense the ground rice and currants coming out of the cupboard as I type!

I aint never not 'eard of that before, Miss Helen. Looks proper lovely. Bit like a curd tart I shouldn't wonder.

...I don't know where I'm going with this stupid accent. I'm just in an odd mood. Suffice to say, this looks like a fine tart and good to see you using a Denby plate.

Hi There

My name is Meg Jenner and I run a blog called www.craftitbakeit.com

I live in Kent and am passionate about our local area and supporting local businesses. In order to highlight Kent in all it's glory I am planning on writing various blog posts about shops/services in our area

Therefore...I am contacting you to see if you would like to be featured on the blog (all free) in return for maybe some photos of your products/shop, maybe you could answer a few questions for me, a mini- interview,a product review or simply just the basics of where you are and what you do. I'd like to be able to have a site where Kent businesses can be showcased in all their wonderful glory plus it's a bit of free advertising for you :)

Get in touch if you think you may be interested

All the best

Toffee apples are the bomb-there is no denying that! No matter what age you are you enjoy them. A crisp tart apple skewered on a lollipop stick, generously coated with toffee and sprinkles is quintessentially Halloween.
